PAS NW Ltd is proud to be delivering the civil engineering package at Cable Drive, a significant residential development by Vistry Group in Helsby.

Our groundwork expertise is central to transforming this site, providing a new

community of modern homes. The site has been dormant for a number of years after a previous construction company went into administration. And now, thanks for the partnership of Vistry and PAS, the site is coming back to life to the delight of the local community who feared the site would ‘never be completed’.

We’ve worked hard to deliver and allay any fears from local resident and to also

deliver for our client. After only a matter of months on site, we've achieved

substantial milestones, reflecting the efficiency and expertise of our team.

The project involves delivering crucial infrastructure and housing for a

development that will enhance the local area. With over 215 homes planned, this project continues to demonstrate the ongoing trust Vistry places in us to manage complex and fast-paced schemes.

Project Setting

Cable Drive is located in Helsby, offering excellent residential options that cater to a wide range of homebuyers, from first-time buyers to families. The development benefits from nearby commuter routes, schools, shops, and leisure facilities, making it an attractive and convenient location for new homeowners.

Scope of Work

At Cable Drive, PAS is responsible for delivering a full civil engineering package. We’ve worked at pace, but we do things right. Vistry wanted us to get moving quickly and our team has responded in rapid fashion. And in no less than 80 days we’ve:

GROUNDWORKS:

Comprehensive site preparation, including earthmoving, excavation, and setting up foundations for the residential properties.

DRAINAGE SYSTEMS:

Installation of 960m of storm drains and 815m of foul drains to ensure effective water management and prevent flooding.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION:

5430m2 of road construction, building internal roads and footpaths to ensure smooth connectivity throughout the development.

ENABLING UTILITY WORKS:

Preparing the site for utility connections, ensuring all essential services such as gas, electricity, and water are installed smoothly.

LANDSCAPING AND EXTERNAL WORKS:

Delivering quality external works, including driveways, paths, and green spaces to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of the community.

FOUNDATIONS:

Preparation of 73 individual foundations for 128 planned plots, including digging, cropping, blinding, and concreting to ensure timely construction of the homes.

Our work at Helsby is progressing rapidly, with significant progress already made within a short period. The project is on track to meet its key deadlines, reflecting our commitment to efficient planning and execution.
